I'm having a conversation via text while on the phone with my sibling and something strikes me as to why I shouldn't have sent that text message in the first place. To give a little about what happened in the short story, I'll start from the middle of the week.
So I'm recovering from a minor cold, like most people this year when the weather changes. You never think you'll get it until the weather officially changes, but of course that depends the environment.
Fast Forward....Today
As I'm trying to catch up and see how this person has been, I mention that I am trying to get better from some sneezing and coughing that's been going on since Wednesday. This person proceeds to says
"oh you may have the flu"....****I'm thinking what****
No, I don't have the flu, or flu-like symptoms, just stuffy nose and coughing
"How do you know, are you a doctor?"
.....Right then and there, I had to grow patience and not respond. I didn't want to sound like an ass, but I've had the flu before, light and extreme.....its just a simple Cold...my sibling had to talk me out of responding.
You DON'T want to know what I was going to say....

So I must ask, what were you going to reply? I'm guessing you were going to over-react since you had to be talked out of replying, but I could be wrong. It could just depend on that person nature. However, the "Im a Jerk" title gives away to overreaction that was not mentioned.
Well I wasn't pissed, but I was kinda frustrated that the response was w/ such sarcasm,...It was a simple hello, how's it going, what ya been up to?....but I set myself up for that because its not like any of the other conversations have been any different, or much better.....I guess the title should have been " I CAN be a Jerk
